Sketches published in Innovation magazine

Just saw yesterday that my Industrial Design professor published an article in Innovation magazine featuring my sketches and model for my Junior Industrial Design foundations course!

Push. Pull. Twist. by Magnus Feil

Although I am no longer in the Industrial Design field, I still find what I learned in those foundation courses to be readily applicable in the realm of Interaction Design. For this particular exercise that is discussed in the article, my class learned about the subtlety of affordances and the challenges of designing a family out of varied elements.

I also learned a few creative and extremely tedious ways to use the lathe and drill press to carve my spherical control elements.
